Trash and Recycle pickup Best Trash

TO ALL SUBDIVISIONS WITH THE BOUNDARIES OF NWHCMUD5

Best Trash has been overwhelmed with debris do to the February freeze. They do not have enough trucks or manpower to handle the volume of debris being put out at the curb for collection. Therefore until further notice NWHCMUD5 will restrict trash and debris pickup to the amount and type that Best Trash is obligated by contract to collect. This policy will take place immediately.

There will absolutely be no pickup of construction debris. Yard waste will be limited to a total of three Bags (50 lbs or less) and/or bundles of tied tree branches four feet long or less. Yard debris will only be collected on the last pickup day of the week. Household Trash and Recycle are not affected.

For those NWHCMUD5 residents with large amounts of construction and yard debris we recommend that they contact FEMA. Harris County was declared a disaster area do to the freeze and help with debris removal should be available. Disaster Declaration FEMA-4586-DR.
